Wilson's Kindness Brigade

  • “The child is both a hope and a promise for mankind.” -Dr. Maria Montessori

Founded in 2018, the Kindness Brigade was established to awaken and expand our commitment to the social emotional needs of our community.

At the end of each school year, teachers nominate 6th graders who have consistently exemplified kindness to self, others, and the environment throughout their tenure in Upper Elementary to be a part of the Kindness Brigade.

The Brigade sponsors campus-wide initiatives to welcome, challenge, and acknowledge all community members.

Ongoing projects include greeting every student upon arrival each morning, updating the weekly Kindness Matters Newsletter, which includes a weekly kindness challenge for students and their families, and leading special projects targeted to spread kindness like confetti throughout our campus and community. Some favorite past projects include teacher appreciation treats, free compliments, letters to veterans and deployed soldiers, and Family Kindness Bingo. Be on the lookout for the latest challenge in this week’s Newsletter!
