My name is Sylvia Cashman, and I am one of the Assistant Principals at Ray K. Daily Elementary School.  This is my first year at the school and I am very excited to be part of this amazing community.​

I have worked at HISD for 20 years.  I taught as a bilingual teacher for 14 years and left the classroom to become a Teacher Development Specialist, Instructional Coordinator in middle school, Assistant Principal, and Interim Principal.​

What I love about our school is the diversity.  Being Taiwanese, Chinese, Argentinian, and American myself, I feel that I am a good fit for this community.  With my multicultural background, I want to bring out this unique aspect of our school.​

I am a firm believer that a solid education is the path to success.  The saying, “It Takes a Village to Raise a Child”, together we are going to make Ray K. Daily Elementary one of the best public schools at HISD!​
