I, Victoria Cobio, Communities in Schools Student Support Manager, have been empowering and supporting students for 14 years. Life is beautiful and will have challenges. It is important to build a support system, have life cheerleaders rooting for you when you need reminding and the motivation to keep going. I am a native Houstonian. I love my culture and community. I appreciate the diversity that Houston has, it gives us the capacity to grow and learn from each other. I challenge you to always have the courage to get up, dance, laugh and smile till it hurts. 

 

Services: 

Communities in Schools (CIS) Houston is a drop-out prevention/ college & career readiness Program that provides students and families an array of support services; through supportive guidance and counseling, health and human services, parental involvement, cultural enrichment, academic support, and college and career readiness. Communities in Schools provides integrated support services on multiple levels, such as, individual and group support and school-wide services. Communities in Schools believes in providing students with a community of support and empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
