Lauren M. Williams, M.A. is a teacher in the School of Communications at Jack Yates High School in Houston, TX.

Ms. Williams, who is professionally known as Bobby Pen, has established space in print, digital, and broadcast journalism over the past decade.

After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Magazine Writing from Temple University in 2010, and Master’s in Communications, Journalism and Public Affairs from American University in 2013, Ms. Williams established herself professionally by crafting an independent media brand.

Ms. Williams has been documenting Black American lifestyle contributions to entertainment, business, and culture since 2010 as the Founding Editor of the award-winning Lifestyle & Entertainment website TheBobbyPen.com. In addition to teaching, Ms. Williams is currently a freelance reporter for Diddy’s cable network REVOLT.
