Parent Enrollment Check List

Before You Start

Age Requirement:

3 years old on or before September 1 for 3-year-old programs
4 years old on or before September 1 for 4-year-old programs

Residency: Must live within Houston ISD boundaries

Eligibility: Check if your child qualifies. If you believe your child qualifies for free Pre-K, click here to check eligibility requirements.

Tuition: The 2026-2027 tuition rate is $7,419. Families may choose to pay 1 full payment of $7,419 due August 10 or 9 payments of $824.00 from September-May due on the 1st business day of each month.

No. Potty training is not required, but it is highly encouraged. HISD understands that children develop at different times and will provide help during this transition.
