We have noted that many parents are waiting at the walker gate to pick up students. This is causing a disruption to the flow of car rider dismissal.
Effective, tomorrow August 25, there will be an update to afternoon dismissal.
Parent Pick-Up is returning as a dismissal option. Parents who walk up to pick up students will now be able to pick up students at the Werlin Center, which is located across Santa Fe Dr. Students will be escorted out of the building and to the crossing guard that is located at the corner of Santa Fe Dr. and Kopman. We ask all parents who are walking up to pick up their kids to wait under the awning to receive their students. Please be sure to update the dismissal designation link to Parent Pick-Up to ensure that your student is in the right place.
Car Rider dismissal will proceed as normal. As we are finalizing how each student gets home, pink tags will be sent home with each student by the end of this week to display in your car during dismissal. It’s imperative that once received you display this tag to pick up your student.
Walkers who walk home by themselves will continue to be released through the Sims Dr. gate.
Please check out the website, Facebook or class dojo to view the map for dismissal.
Additionally, be sure to access the dismissal designation link if there are updates to the way that your student is going home.
As always, we thank you for your continued positivity and patience as we work to streamline our dismissal to ensure that students go home safely and quickly.
