ACE 21st Century Afterschool Program

The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) serves as a supplementary program to enhance local reform efforts. The program assists students in meeting academic standards in core subjects (math, reading, science, social studies) by providing out-of-school time services to students and their families through community learning centers that offer an array of enrichment activities to complement regular academic programs.

The four core components that make this program successful are: Family Engagement, Academics, Enrichment, and College Readiness

21st CCLC is a free program that is designed to expand after-school opportunities for Texas youths Monday - Friday, between 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  We have five early dismissal days (dates to be announced). Please check with the program coordinator for dismissal times on those days.

The purpose of this program is to establish or expand activities in community learning centers that:

Provide opportunities for academic state and local student academic achievement standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and mathematics
Offer students a broad array of additional services, programs, and activities, such as youth development activities, drug and violence prevention programs, counseling programs, art, music, and recreation programs, technology education programs, and character education programs that are designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic program of participating students
Offer families of students served by community learning centers opportunities for literacy and related educational development.
