DOPE Arts Club Members Win UCEA 2018 Logo Design!

We would like to recognize Ms. Williams, our art teacher, and sponsor of The DOPE Arts Club, a visual and performing Arts Club at Worthing High School, for leading and guiding students to create an incredible logo to represent this year's UCEA 2018 Annual Convention.  The theme of this year's conference is: Our Mission Critical: Revolutionizing the Future Through Equitable Educational Leadership, Research, and Practiceand is intended to ignite conversations that:

  • challenge dominant narratives that subvert equitable leadership and education;
  • revolutionize the preparation of school and district leaders to enact equitable leadership, research, and practice;
  • imagine equitable alliances with students, families, and communities where there is shared expertise, decision making, and ownership for sustainable change; and,
  • foster coalition with policymakers and elected officials to create the future we need.

Worthing student-artists, Joseph Linsey, Lawreal Davis, Aveyon Smith, Nasstajjia Richard, and Rashawn Green all participated in the conceptualization and creation of this year's logo and will be awarded a $500 honorarium for their incredible talent.  Way to go, Colts!!!!
