Congratulations to Ms. Jones for being Daily Elementary's Teacher of the Year!! This is her fourth year at Daily Elementary and her fifth year overall in the classroom. She is an 2nd grade ESL teacher, as well as 2nd grade lead teacher, social studies lead teacher, and SEL liaison for Daily.

Ms. Jones was born and raised here in Houston and graduated from St. Edward's University in Austin with an Early Childhood through Grade 12 education degree. Outside of school, she is a daughter, sister, aunt, and mom to two cats — Ludo and Max. She loves to attend live concerts and is an avid reader. She read 59 books last year!

Her favorite part about working at Daily is the rich diversity our students bring to the classroom. She is proud to say she has worked with students from all over the world with over 15 language backgrounds and counting. As an educator, her ultimate goal is to create a safe and productive learning environment for all students, and calling Daily her home has given her the opportunity to do so every day! We are so fortunate to have Ms. Jones as a member of our Daily faculty!
