Congrats to out middle school theater students!!!

Middle School Theatre students poured their hearts out last weekend at the UIL One Act Play Competition. They performed "Senora Tortuga" By Roxanne Schroeder-Arce and absolutely did amazing. This was the first time for all the Middle School Students to do UIL OAP but that did not scare them one bit! When they entered that huge stage, they took charge. All of their hard work did not go unnoticed! We went up against 4 other Middle Schools. We placed 2nd, and the students couldn't have been more proud of themselves.

We also had 4 students who were given individual awards for their acting and work on the show! Michael Ramos Won Best Actor Award! This award is only given to 2 students over all! Ava Hawkins won Honorable Mention All-Star Cast. Carilena Mendoza won All-Star Cast and Emma Moyed Won Best Technician / Crew / Stage Manager. We are so very very proud of their hard work and doing an amazing job representing Garden Oaks!

I'd also like to thank our wonderful theater instructor, Ms. Lozano. She made this into an unforgettable experience for our 7th and 8th graders.
