This is for freshmen students and their parents. The counselors want to thank freshmen who have already completed their Personal Graduation Plans (PGP). Remember, this plan is just a starting point based on your current interests, and it’s okay if your goals change over time. The PGP is here to help you start planning for life after high school! There are two key dates to remember, Tomorrow, November the 11th is the deadline for students to submit their PGPs and December 2nd is the deadline for freshmen parents to complete their portion of the form. The counselors will check completion of PGP on Tuesday, November 12th. Students who haven't completed it by then will be called down to the office to finish it. Additional information will be included in the email to follow. |

Students, We’re in the final stretch Cycle 3! It’s shorter, but it still counts for 30% of your semester grade, so let’s make it count. Cycles 1, 2, and 3 each add up to a whopping 90%, with the final exam making up the last 10%. Parents, Now’s the time to have that “let’s talk about your grades” moment with your scholar! Remember, you can keep track of their progress on HISDConnect (PowerSchool), so no surprises there! Mid-Day Tutorials are Tuesday through Friday. Make sure you’re in your assigned tutorial or study hall Canvas has all the details. Skipping means...you guessed it, detention! Let’s finish strong and make this cycle count! |

A reminder to students that they may not ride the elevator without a pass from the nurse. This applies before and after school, therefore students who attend tutorials, club meetings, or practice sports after school must use the stairs. Students riding the elevator without a permit may be assigned detention. |
