Ms. Genee Noel Wins the Houston’s Difference Makers in Education Award

Mostyn Law and 1-800-TruckWreck in cooperation with 97.9 The Box presented the Honoring Houston’s Difference Makers in Education earlier this month. Family, friends and colleagues were able to nominate a local teacher, school principle, librarian, coach or counselor from their kid’s schools. They shared with us the positive impact they are having in the community’s classrooms. There were over 400 nominations over a three-week period and 20 winners were selected. Ms. Noel was one of our winners!

Ms. Noel was nominated by Sharica Green. Here is what Ms. Green wrote about Genee Noel:

“Genee Noel teaches from the heart. She cares about her students. She shows up to teach Saturday school even if she knows that only one student has signed up. She drops off food and hygiene supplies to the students with parents that are struggling. She gives away her own clothes to less fortunate female students. In her class she keeps hygiene products that are free for use in emergency situations. She keeps her students engaged and encouraged about their education. In her class the children are given life skills that will protect them for the social media society that they live in while helping them understand the importance of self respect. She's also that same influencer with the children and teenagers in her personal life. She's is loved and respected in and out of the classroom. The principal also leans on her heavily because she knows Genee will get the job done no matter the task at hand. She definitely deserves this honor!”
