Carnegie Robotics Club competes at NASA
On Saturday, November 15th, the Carnegie Robotics Club competed at the Leland VEX Robotics Competition at Space Center Houston and won big!
2587z, Disco Bots Zeta, Senior Andrew Nagal's inter-school VEX team ranked 5th at the end of qualification rounds.
5678S, Stratus, a full CVHS VEX team ranked 17th at the end of qualification matches. The Stratus students who participated were Senior Seth Taylor, Sophomore Gilbert Martinez, and Freshmen Mika Generao and Rachel Tan.
During Alliance Selection the #1 ranked team, 231z from Pasadena ISD picked both 2587z and 5678s. The first seed alliance went on to win the whole tournament!
In addition to winning the tournament 2587z won the Design Award and the Excellence Award, the highest honor at a VEX competition.
