The Carnegie Cross Country teams have made school history: All 6 teams medaled in the 19-5A division with Varsity Girls, Varsity Boys, JV Boys, Freshman Girls, and Freshman Boys all taking the championship trophies!!! JV Girls also placed 2nd in the district, just missing the championship to Galena Park!
Top 3 individual placements also received medals:
Wil Larkin – Gold, Varsity Boys
Jenny Dietz – Silver, Varsity Girls
Nathaniel Mequanint, Riley Deneen, and Daiki Sakai – Gold, Silver, Bronze respectively in JV Boys
Kristin Wu, Lauren MacDonald, and Leena Jallad – Gold, Silver, Bronze respectively in Freshman Girls
Alejandro Olmos and Oliver Satchell – Gold and Silver respectively in Freshman Boys
Our Girls and Boys Varsity teams will be representing CVHS at the regional meet on October 24/25 in Huntsville. This is the first time that both varsity teams have advanced to regionals. These athletes have also earned their letter jackets for advancing! Congratulations to ALL runners. Coach Ford and Coach Garcia are very proud!
