15 CVHS seniors named semifinalists in National Merit Scholarship Program. The National Merit Scholarship Program has selected 15 CVHS seniors as semifinalists for the 2023 – 2024 scholarship competition year. The scholarship program gives seniors the opportunity to compete for about 7,250 monetary scholarships to help jumpstart their college careers. Academically talented young people take a qualifying test to enter the program, and of approximately 50,000 high scorers, just more than 16,000 students nationwide are chosen as semifinalists.
