Senior Awarded Prestigious UT Austin Forty Acres Scholarship
Congratulations to CVHS senior Chiamaka Uwalaka on being awarded The University of Texas at Austin Texas Exes 40 Acres Scholarship!
The Forty Acres Scholars Program is The University of Texas at Austin’s prestigious full-ride merit scholarship and is offered to outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated superb leadership skills, are among the top few in their class in academic performance, and show promise of continuing such performance in college and beyond.
From a very talented pool, Texas Exes and UT staff and alumni chose the most outstanding students to be part of the Forty Acres Scholars Program, representing the top 1% of scholarship applicants.
This scholarship is valued at $128,000 over four years, which includes tuition, books, a living stipend, and an enrichment stipend. This scholarship will also give scholars access to The University of Texas’ vast alumni network, allow them to participate in professional, cultural, and leadership programming, and be a part of a community of scholars and leaders involved at The University of Texas.
Chiamaka plans on majoring in public health on the pre-med track. Congratulations and hook ‘em!
