Incoming freshmen and parents,
Congratulations on being accepted to CVHS! Here is some information you need to know for try-outs and volleyball in general as you have all selected volleyball on your freshmen course selection sheets.
Try-outs begin on Thursday, August 1 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM AND 2:00 - 4:00 PM and will be held at Carnegie Vanguard HS (1501 Taft 77019) in the gym. Be prepared to come daily the first week.
In order to be eligible to play, there are several forms that you must bring to try-outs.

- *PAPF (Previous Athletic Participation Form) THIS FORM MUST HAVE PRINCIPAL'S SIGNATURE FROM PREVIOUS MIDDLE SCHOOL
- Insurance Waiver or $35 for school insurance
- *Parent Approval Form
- Physical Form (THIS MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE TRY-OUT DAY 1 ON AUGUST 1st)
*THESE FORMS MUST BE NOTARIZED
(I will have extra copies available on the first day of try-outs)
Be prepared to do the following on the first days of try-outs:
- Overhand serve across the net
- Be able to effectively bump, pass, spike and set a volleyball
- Come prepared with everything you need such as kneepads, athletic clothing, water, etc.
- Come on time
