The Longfellow UIL team recently had a competition at Washington High School, on February 2, 2019. Practices took place every Wednesday for one hour. The team was sure to work their hardest in hopes of victory! The Creative Writing team worked as hard as possible, every practice, and learned new tips to help their writing and make a delightful story! The Ready Writing team was thrilled to practice their prompts and learn how to make a nice essay as well as an intricate reply to any prompt. The Oral Reading team was determined to make sure their poems were ready and prepared for competition, taking tips on how to read and how to present. The Storytelling team practiced their summarizing skills, knowing that they would do their very best!
Jack Evans, who is in second grade received a phenomenal first place in Storytelling!
Jayden Williams got second place in Oral Reading - against fourth graders! He’s in third!
Kellen Nguyen, in second grade got third place for Storytelling! Awesome!
Madison Than, a third grader got a remarkable sixth place in Ready Writing!
Those are the results for top places! Magnificent job leaders!
