SMART watches will be treated like cell phones. If the SMART watch has cell phone capabilities (recording, texting, calling, browsing, SMART capability) it must be off and stored in a backpack until the end of the day.

Additionally, per HISD’s Electronic Device Policy, SMART watches will be treated as cellphones for testing purposes as well. As a result, SMART watches are strictly prohibited during state testing.
