How do I submit my official transcript(s) or service record(s)?
Once the hiring process is complete and you are an active employee of the district, please submit your official transcript(s) or service record(s) to Human Resources via OneSource Employee Self-Service.
After obtaining your official transcript(s) or service record(s), ensure they are accurate, and then upload them using the following steps:
How to Submit Documents via OneSource:
- Visit: www.houstonisd.org/OneSource (using Internet Explorer)
- Log-in: Use the same HISD username and password that you use to sign in to your HISD computer
- Navigate: Contracts & Forms, then click on “HR Documents – Service Records and Transcripts” and follow the prompts.
When preparing a service record for submission, teachers or school district employees should ensure the following:
- Personal Information: Full legal name, employee ID or Social Security number, and signature.
- Employment Dates: Accurate start and end dates for each period of employment.
- Position Titles: List all positions held, including any promotions or role changes.
- Service Credit: Ensure the record accurately reflects full-time, part-time, and temporary positions.
- Leave Balances: Include prior year balance, earned leave, used leave, and end-of-year balance.
- Signatures and Approvals: Ensure the record is signed by the appropriate district official.
- Experience Credit: To receive service credit for prior work experience, new hires under a Teacher Placement Table must submit service records within 30 calendar days of start date to receive a retroactive starting pay adjustment. Otherwise, the effective date of change is the date upon which the Compensation Department receives the official service record. It is the responsibility of the employee to provide all official documentation.
Review all information for accuracy and completeness before submission.
It is the employee's responsibility to turn in all required documents during or within 30 days of the pre-hire session! |
