Bob Lanier Middle School opened in 1926, as one of HISD’s first middle schools.  Lanier was verified as an IBMYP campus in 2003, making it the first IBMYP middle school in HISD.   We are the only Vanguard Magnet and International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme World School in HISD. We offer a high-quality comprehensive middle school experience, with a focus on core academics, global citizenship, and community service.
