Lanier Student Expectations Assembly

This week, we had our Spring assemblies with our students to go over expectations for the rest of the school year. These assemblies are important as they provide all Lanier students with guidance and framework to ensure they are principled inside and outside the building and have support to reach their maximum potential as we get closer to the end of the 2023-24 school year.  Prior to these meetings, we noticed an uptick in behaviors and language that violates the student code of conduct and also goes against our campus culture that prides itself on inclusion.  These behaviors will not be tolerated, as they impede academic growth and do not support a positive and safe learning environment for all students.

We are committed to ensuring that Lanier MS has a culture that values diversity and individuality.  Please review the attached documents with your student to ensure that everyone understands, has clarity and support.  We want to create an environment that is safe, secure, and welcoming for all at all times.

The student assembly presentation can be viewed on the Lanier website under student resources and in the attached file.

We want to end the year stronger in all ten of the IB attributes:  principled, caring, communicator, inquirers, knowledgeable, open-minded, risk-takers, balanced, reflective and thinkers.

Please reach out to the campus if you have additional questions or concerns.  Student Expectation Assembly 2023-2024 MOY.pdf
