2023 Tryouts Dates and Times & Info

7th & 8th Grade Open Gym

Monday, August 28th & Tuesday, August 29th

The gym will be open from 4:15 to 6:00 for girls who are interested in trying out. Coach Mann and Coach Patek will be present to organize games and meet with girls interested in playing volleyball at Lanier. In order to participate girls must register on RMA and submit the required documents. If girls haven't registered they can still come by to ask questions about tryouts.

8th grade tryouts are planned for the first week of school.  

Wednesday, August 30th - 4:00 to 6:00 pm

Thursday, August 31st - 4:00 to 6:00 pm

7th grade tryouts will take place on the following dates.

Tuesday, September 5th - 4:00 to 6:00 pm

Wednesday, September 6th - 4:00 to 6:00 pm

Athletes will be assessed on the following volleyball fundamentals as well as fitness and athletic ability.

• Passing
• Setting
• Hitting
• Serving
• Blocking

Make sure to bring gear to tryout in.  You'll be able to use the locker room after school.

Things you'll need.

• Volleyball/athletic shoes
• Knee pads
• volleyball/athletic attire
• water bottle
• Volleyballs will be provided
