Want to learn more about opportunities in the army, navy, or other branches of military service?
How about Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs available at local and Texas colleges?
If either of these are of interest to you, make plans now to attend HISD’s U.S. Service Academies/ROTC Information Night on Wednesday, November 2. (See downloadable flier here .pdf).
The event will take place at the Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center (4400 W. 18th Street, 77092) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and will feature information about the ROTC programs at Prairie View A&M, Stephen F. Austin, and Texas A&M Universities, as well as the University of Houston and the University of Texas.
Representatives from Congress will also be available to discuss service academy nomination opportunities through their respective offices.
