1/11/12 Nominations for Inaugural Youth in Philanthropy Award Due by January 20

Do you know of an HISD student or group who is interested in raising money for non-profit organizations?

If so, then you should nominate them for the Youth in Philanthropy Award! The Greater Houston Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) has introduced the “Youth in Philanthropy Award” this year to recognize a high-school junior/senior or student group who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the community through direct financial support, development of charitable programs, and leadership in philanthropy.

The Youth in Philanthropy recipient/s will be honored during an evening reception at the “Ask the Experts” conference on February 27, 2012.

One first place winner will receive a prize of $3,000, while two runners-up will receive $1,000 each.
