Wednesday, October 13 (8:30 AM) – PSAT/MNSQT for 10th and 11th graders (This is the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test for 11th grade.)

Thursday, October 28 (8:30 AM) – PSAT testing for 9th graders

Thursday, October 28 (8:30 AM) – SAT testing for eligible 12th graders (Eligible 12th graders have been notified through email.)

 

For more information about the PSAT and SAT, please visit the College Board website.  To help prepare, students are encouraged to complete practice on Khan Academy's Official SAT Practice website. When students connect their College Board account with Khan Academy a free personalized SAT test preparation plan is developed just for them. Students who use Khan Academy’s SAT practice average a 115 point increase on their SAT score, as well as qualify for scholarships from the College Board. 

PSAT/SAT Updates

PSAT/NMSQT for 10th and 11th graders – October 13

Our 10th and 11th graders are scheduled to take the PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 8:30 AM. All students enrolled in 10th or 11th grade have been registered to take this test free of charge. This is the National Merit Scholarship Qualifier for 11th graders and practice for the 10th graders. All students who are testing must arrive on time. Students arriving late will not be allowed to test and there will be no make-up exams. For additional helpful hints about taking the PSAT/NMSQT, please visit the College Board here. We will have calculators available for all 11th graders to use on this test. PSAT 9 for 9th graders – October 28

Our 9th graders are scheduled to take the PSAT 9 on Thursday, October 28, 2021.   All 9th grade students have been registered to take this test free of charge. All students who are testing must arrive on campus by 8:30 AM. It is important that students are on time. Students arriving late will not be allowed to test. This will be the only opportunity to test this school year. There will be no make-up exams. SAT for eligible 12th graders - October 28

Selected 12th grade students have been notified if they have been registered to take the SAT, free of charge, on Thursday, October 28, 2021.  This SAT is only available for students who have not yet met all of the TSI (Texas Success Initiative) criteria. PSAT/SAT Testing Day Schedules – October 13/28 Altered Bell Schedule

On October 13 and 28, PSAT/SAT testing will begin at 8:30 AM and finish at approximately 1:30 PM. All students who are testing should report to their testing rooms by 8:30 AM. Rosters will be posted throughout the building identifying where students should report. Students will eat lunch once all testing is completed. Students who are not testing will report to school at 1:00 PM for lunch and an altered class schedule for the remainder of the afternoon. All students who tested in the morning will have lunch following the test and then follow an altered class schedule for the afternoon.
