Lamar students qualify for National Debates
Ten Lamar High School students qualified for the National Debates in Indianapolis after competing March 2-3 in Amarillo.
The qualifying students are: Reid Geissen (senior) and Ashley Alcantara, Public Forum (two-year qualifying team); Adem Sengal and Gabriel Levine, Public Forum; Michael Portal, Lincoln-Douglas Debate; Lavanya Sunder, Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking (three-year qualifier); Gregory Ross, Domestic Extemp (two-year qualifier); Vera Ranneft, Original Oratory (two-year qualifier); Elliot Gross, Humorous Interpretation; and Austin Ruiz, Dramatic Interpretation.
