I am deeply honored and thrilled to return to Park Place Elementary as your Principal for the 2024-2025 school year. Having been a part of the Houston Independent School District (HISD) for over 18 years, I bring a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to educational excellence.

Learning has always been central to my personal and professional journey. I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of St. Thomas in 2006 and later completed my Master's degree at Concordia University Texas in 2011. Throughout my career, I have actively pursued opportunities for growth and development as an educational leader. I underwent intensive leadership training at the School Leadership Academy in 2014 and received advanced training from Rice University Executive Leadership Partners in 2019.

Before returning to Park Place Elementary, I had the privilege of serving as Principal at Bush Elementary in the West Division during the 2023-2024 school year. Prior to that, I spent eight years as an Assistant Principal at three different campuses. These experiences have continually shaped and refined my leadership skills. During my previous tenure as Assistant Principal at Park Place Elementary from 2015 to 2019, our team achieved remarkable success, maintaining all TEA Distinctions and earning consecutive Gold Ribbon Distinctions for Children-At-Risk. At Sinclair Elementary, we achieved significant improvement, elevating the campus from a B to an A on the TEA accountability system. While I served as Principal at Bush Elementary, more than 55% of our students met or exceeded growth expectations on the NWEA EOY assessment.

As a former immigrant student myself, I understand the challenges that students face, particularly those with language barriers and academic struggles. My personal experiences have cultivated a deep empathy for these challenges and for the families who navigate them. My vision for Park Place Elementary is to foster a school community where every child can flourish and reach their full potential, regardless of their background or abilities.

I am excited to return to the familiar Park Place community, where I previously served as Assistant Principal for four years. With my diverse skills, extensive experience, and unwavering dedication, I am prepared to lead Park Place Elementary towards continued success and educational excellence. Together with our dedicated staff, parents, and community, I am confident that we can create an inclusive and enriching educational environment for all students.
