Ms. Qwinyette Cormier, an esteemed educator with a passion for academic excellence and student development, has taken the helm as the new Principal of Cook Elementary School. She has 13 years in education, working as an English Language Arts teacher, instructional coach, district administrator, and campus administrator. She earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Houston-Downtown, Master of Arts in Teaching from Purdue University, and a Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University. Ms. Cormier believes in empowering and inspiring the next generation of students by fostering a love for learning. She is dedicated to ensuring that every student at Cook Elementary receives a well-rounded education that not only focuses on academic excellence but also on character development, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. Ms. Cormier is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where students can thrive. She looks forward to collaborating closely with the Cook Elementary School community, including students, parents, teachers, and staff, to make this campus a center of excellence in education. Her enthusiasm, experience, and dedication make her the ideal leader to guide Cook Elementary School into a bright and successful future.
