Dr. Ada Whyte is a native of South Park, Houston, Texas. Prior to her current role as Principal, she served as an Assistant Principal, math teacher for 6 years, New Teacher Coach, and K-8 Math Curriculum Specialist. Ada holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Prairie View A&M, a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Doctorate in Executive Educational Leadership from Houston Christian University. Ada’s educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that every student can learn, deserves the opportunity to learn, and will succeed when provided with the right resources and supported by qualified, dedicated adults who share a unified vision.

Throughout her career, Ada has consistently served in low socioeconomic, Title 1 schools dedicated to turnaround work and school improvement. She is passionate about coaching and developing teachers by enhancing their content knowledge and equipping them with best practices to deliver high-quality instruction while supporting students' social and emotional needs. Ada leads with compassion, inspires others, upholds high expectations, and models best practices for all stakeholders.
