I am thrilled to be a part of Red Elementary, where we continue to build a strong, vibrant learning community. I hold high expectations for both our staff and students, and I am committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive here at The Hive.
Red is home to an exceptional community, and I am proud to be a part of it. This year, we will continue working together to create a fun, positive, and supportive school environment, one that is rooted in excellence and centered on STEM education and high-quality instruction.
Our focus will remain on rigorous, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences for all students. I believe in the power of partnerships with parents, staff, and most of all, our students—because Red belongs to all of us. Your voice matters, and your involvement makes a difference.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me via email if you ever have any questions or concerns. I look forward to an amazing year ahead! LaDale Lofton Bio

Houston ISD is in the process of collecting feedback on the Code of Student Conduct. The survey should only take 5 minutes to complete.
The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), requires each State education agency to prepare and publish an annual report card with state-, district- and campus-level data.
Student Attendance Policy: HISD students must attend 90% of school days for promotion to the next grade level. More information along with an informative video can be found on www.houstonisd.org. Students need to be present all day, every day unless they are sick. School hours are from 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. All appointments need to be scheduled after 3 p.m. Students that arrive late miss important instruction. They may struggle trying to keep up with assignments because they missed the introduction or follow-up to lessons. Students that leave early miss end of day instruction that may affect assignments to be completed at home. Students that do not meet the HISD attendance policy may be retained or placed in the next grade level – pending Grade Placement Committee (GPC) decision. The GPC meets in early May to review individual cases.
