Stephanie Lugo, Principal

Stephanie Lugo began her career in education as a teacher at Lewis Elementary, as improvement required campus. With a passion for helping students succeed, Ms.Lugo was promoted to Teacher Specialist and supported the campus with staying out of the IR status.

After a successful year in the Teacher Specialist position, Stephanie was offered the opportunity to serve as a Teacher Development Specialist and supported a campus to improve ELAR scores and remove their IR status.

Recognizing Lugo's exceptional abilities, she was then selected to serve as a Teacher Specialist and GT Coordinator at one of HISD's top-performing campuses, West University Es. Shortly after, Ms.Lugo transitioned into the role of Assistant Principal at Mark Twain Elementary, and IB World School. Stephanie Lugo received her Bachelor's from the University of Houston and a Master's in Educational Leadership for Stephen F. Austin University. Ms. Lugo has a passion and lens to close achievement and equity gaps.
