     END-OF-YEAR PICNIC

For Pre-K’s End-of-Year celebration, we are having a picnic at the Spark Park on Friday, May 30, from 9-10 a.m. Please have students bring brunch and a towel/blanket to sit on.  Family members are invited but must be VIPS approved (search up HISD VIPS and register).  You are welcome to bring mini water bottles, juices, cookies, snacks, etc. (must be store-bought) to share with others.  Adults, you may want to bring an umbrella/small tent since there’s no shade.  Kindergarten classes are also having their EOY picnic at the same time so be mindful of parking. Here’s the agenda:

8:45 a.m. Parents sign in at the front office and make their way to the Spark Park.  For safety reasons, all family members must have a sticker tag or they cannot stay.

9:00 a.m. Picnic at the Spark Park begins.  At this time, you can get your child’s certificate, “I Bloomed” book, a math workbook, and pick out a book to take home.

9:15 a.m. Picnic continues and students can play in the Spark Park.

10 a.m.  Students who are staying will go back to the classroom.  Students who are leaving will stay with their parents while parents sign out.

If there are changes/updates, it will be communicated through ClassDojo.

Last week of homework!!!  Please complete and turn in (4-5) homework assignments in the May Homework Calendar by Thursday, May 30.  Students need to also color one (1) “flower” for each night they read or are being read to.  The May reading log is due this Thursday.

    ATTENDANCE & TARDIES

We had three (3) perfect attendance days last week!  We now have the letters "Perfect Attendanc" up.  Once we spell “Perfect Attendance”, students will enjoy their final  day of treat and a movie.

Let's stay healthy and go to school every day.  Please remind your child to wash or sanitize their hands after using the restroom and before eating, sneeze and cough into their inner elbow, and wear a mask if needed.  Please try to schedule doctor's appointments in the afternoon if possible.  If your child is absent, in addition to letting me know via ClassDojo, you need to email me or send a written note that includes your child's name, date of absent, reason for absent, and your signature, so I can turn it in to the registrar for her to change it to an excused absence.
