Williams Middle School 2022-2023 Dress Code
Parents & Guardians,
For the 2022-2023 school year Williams’ students will implement a standard mode of dress for all students. This dress code is designed to promote a safe learning environment free of distractions and any item determined to be a distraction to the educational process will not be allowed. As you plan for the upcoming year, please keep in mind the school dress code and also assist by monitoring your student’s attire each day. since violations may result in students being removed from classes. Appropriate items may be found in most local department or discount stores and you can contact our school with any questions.
Description of Standard Mode of Dress
Students must wear a plain polo-type shirt (with a collar and 3 buttons. Shirts should not have logos. Colors for each grade level are below:
Williams school spirit shirts may be worn on Fridays to promote school spirit along with denim jeans.
Only white t-shirts /undershirts or M.C. Williams Middle School P.E. shirts are allowed to be worn underneath uniform shirts.
Students can wear:
For safety reasons, students will be allowed to wear plain belt buckles and not those with name plates, scrolling messages or any type of belt that is deemed a safety risk by the administration. All students must wear a belt. Sagging pants are not permissible.
Dess Code violations
Prohibited items are: faded or ripped jeans, capri pants, form-fitting clothes, yoga pants, tank tops, midriff-baring tops, Crocs, flip flops, sandals, jeggings, leggings, low-cut tops, strapless tops, spaghetti-strapped dresses or shirts, miniskirts, slogan T-shirts, or clothes displaying derogatory or slang expressions.

Juanette Green has been selected as the new principal for M.C. Williams Middle School. Green most recently served as principal of Hines Caldwell Elementary School.
She began her career in 2005 as a middle school teacher in North Carolina. In 2011, she became an assistant principal at Penn-Griffin School for the Arts, a 6-12 public magnet school in Guilford County Schools. Green joined HISD in 2014, where she served as dean of instruction at Hartman Middle School. She earned her Bachelor of Science in International Business from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) and her Master of Arts in Teaching from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She returned to UNCG for her post master’s certification in School Administration.
