Welcome, we’re excited to meet you. We are the Miles Ahead Scholars Program. We are the team that is here to help you navigate your academic high school experience at Kashmere High School, Wheatley High School and Worthing High School. But we are so much more than that.

We are:

A team that goes over and beyond to ensure that our students recognize their potential.

A team that specializes in helping our students achieve academic success by providing support, encouragement, and accountability.

A team that can relate to our students' cultures, upbringing and personal and academic experiences.

A team that is highly invested in our students’ futures and believes in the difference Latino and African-American young men can make in this world.

- Black or Latino Male
- Desire to enroll in a 4 year college
- An ideal student for Miles Ahead will have the majority of these criteria.
  - Grades
    
    A’s and B’s in core classes with no grades below a C (75).
    
    Preferred to be enrolled in Pre-AP classes
  - We are looking for students who exemplify and value
    
    Gratitude - Value community and respects those in it
    
    Curiosity - Eager to try new things
    
    Intellectual Humility - Works well with others and likes learning new things
    
    Purpose - has a strong vision for their future
    
    Leadership capabilities
    
    Involvement or willingness to be involved in extracurricular activities
