Shanedra Burkhalter has been selected as the new principal of Fonwood Early Childhood Center. Ms. Burkhalter has been an educator for 11 years. She began her career in Houston ISD in 2013 as a teacher at Fonwood ECC and previously served the campus as Teacher Specialist. Ms. Burkhalter also served the campus as a Lead Teacher and Title I Coordinator. Ms.Burkhalter earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and her master’s degree in educational leadership from Stephen F. Austin University.
