VIPS (Volunteers in Schools)

We love having volunteers in our school! We have listed some of the opportunities available on our website. If you have ideas about other things you would like to do around our school, please give us a call. For more information on how to become a volunteer, please see this link.

HISD requires that all volunteers complete an online orientation and application for the safety of our students. Volunteer opportunities include helping in the library, chaperoning a field trip, participating in a class party, etc. Please take a few minutes to click on the following link to register for the 2023-2024 school year.
*VIPS registration must be renewed every school year.
Here are a few helpful hints for your VIPS registration:
- It is a two-step process:
- Complete the Orientation
- Fill out the application (the application link is posted at the bottom under the certificate)
- At the “School Preferences” tab, select Neff ELC
- At the “Functions” tab, check every function
- At the “Organizations” tab, select VIPS (Volunteers In Public Schools)
