The purpose of Title I, Part A is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state acedemic achievement standards and state academic assessements. A school is eligible to receive Title I, Part A funds when the percentage of low-income children residing within a school's attendance area is equal to or greater than the average district-wide percentage.

El proposito de TÍtulo I, Parte A es para asegurar que cada niño reciba una oportunidad justa, igual, y significante para obtener una educacÍon de alta calidad y alcanzar, por lo menos, competente en lograr estandares desafiantes academicos estatales y evaluaciones academicos estatales. La escuela es eligible para recibir TÍtulo I, Parte A cuando el porcetaje de estudiantes de bajos recursos residen entre la area de asistencia es igual a o mayor que el promedio del porcentaje en todo el distrito.
