Ms. Gloria Sifuentes

Tijerina Teacher of the Year 2021-2022

It is a privilege and an honor to work at Tijerina teaching second grade. This year marks my 25th year in education. This is my 6th year working at Tijerina, and I love it. Previously I taught at Sheldon Independent School District and Aldine Independent School District in grades 1st through 4th. I received my bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Houston. I believe that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. I enjoy working with my students to help them excel and become the very best that they can be. When I am not working, I like spending time with my family cooking and watching movies.
