Erika Vigil, Principal

Born in El Salvador and raised in Houston, Erika Vigil was an educator for eight years in Dallas ISD and has held many roles from teacher to assistant principal. She began her career as a science teacher before becoming an instructional coach supporting science. Since 2020, she has served as an assistant principal at Thomas Jefferson High School and opened the first newcomer academy in Dallas ISD. Vigil earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Baylor University and master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Methodist University.
