Welcome from the Principal

 

Dr. Racquel Torres Rosenbalm serves as the Principal of Sherman Elementary School. With a diverse background in education, she has held roles as an Assistant Principal, bilingual teacher, and teacher specialist. Under Dr. Rosenbalm’s dedicated leadership over the past six years, Sherman Elementary has made remarkable progress, advancing from Improvement Required status to achieving a B rating.

Prior to her tenure at Sherman, Dr. Rosenbalm was Assistant Principal at Yolanda Black Navarro Middle School. She also held an administrative position at DeChaumes Elementary School, where she played a key role in guiding the campus to earn all TEA campus distinctions from 2015 to 2017. During this time, the school was honored as a Gold Ribbon recipient and earned an A+ rating on the School Report Card.

Dr. Rosenbalm holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston, a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University, and a Doctorate from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
