Rhonda Schwer has been selected as the new Principal of Lantrip Elementary. Ms. Schwer most recently served as the Assistant Principal of DeChaumes Elementary School in HISD, where her focus was instructional leadership for Math and Science. She began her teaching career in Channelview, TX 22 years ago, serving in various roles including Music Teacher, Classroom teacher, and Math Specialist. Ms. Schwer also served as a Math/Science Coach at CyFair and joined HISD as a Teacher Specialist in 2019.  

Ms. Schwer earned her B.S. in Education from the Clarion University of PA and her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.  

Ms. Schwer is looking forward to a phenomenal year and is confident that this school year will be educationally profitable for our schools.
