In 2014-2015, Wainwright participated in the Houston Ballet's Chance to Dance program. 25 first and second graders were bused to the Center for Dance in downtown Houston for eight weeks of fundamental ballet instruction. At the end of the program, six students were awarded full scholarships to the Houston Ballet Academy for one year. For more information about the program in general, click here. This year, the Houston Ballet will come to us! Up to 80 third, fourth, and fifth graders will be able to participate in a creative movement class provided by Houston Ballet instructors right here on our campus. The class will be one a week during the spring semester and will end with a recital. For more information about the after school program, click here.
