MARSHALL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
6200 Winfield Road
Marshall Elementary School is one of seven campuses annexed by HISD in the summer of 2013, after North Forest ISD was dissolved by the Texas Education Agency. It was named for Thurgood Marshall, the first African American justice on the Supreme Court, who fought for the desegregation of public schools. The campus opened in 1956, and a new facility was built in 2000. Previously an early childhood center, it began serving elementary school students in the fall of 2013.
