Mrs. Esther Uribe
I’m Mrs. Uribe, the librarian at Emerson Elementary. I began my position as the Teacher-Librarian at Emerson in 2016, and I absolutely LOVE my job! Putting books into the hands of children and igniting a passion for reading is such a rewarding experience. I love learning about new technology resources and sharing them with my teachers and students. In today’s world of information abundance, one of my most important roles is teaching students how to locate, access, evaluate, and use information themselves.
I've been teaching since 2001 in various settings from E.S.L. to bilingual, from kindergarten to fifth grade, and even high school students, college students, and adults in Morocco. I started my journey as a teacher-librarian in 2008. Teaching has been a passion of mine since I was a small child, and as a librarian, I am able to exercise many of my passions, including teaching, singing, reading, and life-long learning. I look forward to exploring the wonderful world of books and technology resources with my Emerson family!
