Alandra Brewington is excited to be named Principal of Reynolds Elementary School! Mrs. Brewington has served as the Principal Apprentice at Thompson Elementary School during the 23-24 school year, a campus recognized as an exemplar campus for successful implementation of the NES (New Education System) model. Mrs. Brewington has also served as an instructional leader for over 10 years in elementary and intermediate education and brings with her a plethora of knowledge in facilitating high-quality instruction, instructional coaching, curriculum and development, literacy, PBIS, and closing academic achievement gaps. A native of New Orleans but now Houstonian, Mrs. Brewington is committed to ensuring all scholars receive a fun, engaging, and rigorous learning experience daily at Reynolds. Mrs. Brewington graduated Salutatorian from high school in New Orleans, Cum Laude from Southern University in New Orleans where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Sociology and obtained her master’s degree and Principal Certification in Education Administration from Lamar University. It is Mrs. Brewington’s personal mission to lead a school that not only educates but inspires, shaping the leaders of the next generation who will contribute meaningfully to society. Through dedication, compassion, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, she aims to create a culture at Reynolds Elementary where every student feels empowered to reach their full potential and to confidently step into the future as compassionate, competent, and visionary leaders.
