  • NJHS is the nation’s oldest and best-known student recognition program for middle level students and was founded in 1929 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.

To be eligible for membership consideration, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2. Additionally, candidates must meet high standards of service, leadership, and character. Students that meet this criteria will receive an application that will need to be returned by the deadline.

Once applications are received, applications are reviewed by the NJHS faculty council made of five faculty members to be selected to be inducted into National Junior Honor Society.
