Ways to Volunteer

Volunteer Orientation is held at the beginning of each school year during Meet the Teacher and as a part of each month's Coffee with the Principal. Attendance at Volunteer Orientation is required prior to interacting with students.
Below you will find different ways to volunteer at GVE:

Volunteering during your child's designated parent lunch day (2 parents maximum) = 30 minutes

Taking home cutting activities or books given by teacher (1 hour per task)

Donations to the school or class (1 hour per class donation)

donating drinks to class
-
snacks for classrooms
-
school supplies
-
gifts for holidays for the class
-
Fridays for the Eagle store during lunches

Volunteering for holiday parties (only Winter and End of Year Party and must coordinate with teacher) = 2 hours

Volunteering during teacher planning (coordinate with teacher first)

Reading with students in the library (maximum 2 parents per grade level, this can be done on Fridays per teacher request starting at 1 o'clock = 1 hour

Helping with morning drop off (maximum 2 parents per day, 7:00-7:45) = 45 minutes

Volunteer for different school functions such as festivals or attendance parties.

Helping PTO if you're a member=varied hours/minutes. Contact me directly.

Chaperone on a field trip (only after you've completed the 10 hours)
