I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I grew up right in the heart of SunnySide, I even attended Young Elementary, Attucks Middle School and graduated from Evan E. Worthing High School. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Downtown College of Public Service. This will be my 7th year teaching at Young.Ever since I was a young girl, I have had a passion for learning and reading. This passion followed me into adulthood. I am committed to three things: maximizing individual student performance, inspiring students’ interest in literature and lastly, instilling in my students that reading can take you to unimaginable places and beyond. Know that you can count on me to be your child’s biggest advisor,challenger and advocate.

I enjoy reading, art, spending time with my boys and watching scary movies. My favorite snacks are Chocolate and Hot Fries.
