    Each month, from September through April, our students will be given a short online lesson about various topics of digital safety. These topics are chosen by the district and are required as part of the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools Program.

     

    All lessons can be accessed through the Digital Resources section of Canvas in Learning.Com. Each month, during Coffee With the Principal, the Digital Safety information will be outlined for review. 

     

    August/September - Online Safety: Digital Citizenship AND Online Safety: Dealing with Cyberbullying (required to complete upon receipt of the Chromebook)

    October - Internet Usage: Ethical Use of Digital Resources

    November - Online Communication: Sharing Safely Online 

    December - Online Communication: Online Personal Communication 

    January - Netiquette in Online Communication 

    February - Online Communication: Sharing and Collaborating Online

    March - Online Communication: Communicating with Instant Messaging

    April - Online Communication: Using Personal Learning Networks

     

    Parent Digital Safety (Digital Citizenship)

    Parents can ask students to log in and show them each monthly lesson above if desired. Additionally, the links below will take you to short articles from Common Sense Media that you can read and use to help your child(ren) at home. These topics will coincide with the student lessons whenever possible.

    Seguridad Digital Estudiantil (Ciudadanía Digital)

    Cada mes, desde septiembre hasta abril, nuestros estudiantes recibirán una breve lección en línea sobre varios temas de seguridad digital. Estos temas son elegidos por el distrito y se requieren como parte del Programa de Escuelas de Aprendizaje Innovador de Verizon.
